Murray Supervisor of Records March 3, 2021 SPR21/0404 Ms. Andrea L Stone City of Springfield Police Department 130 Pearl Street Springfield, MA 01105 Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Alyssa Ardizzoni appealing the nonresponse of the Springfield Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Ardizzoni filed a public records request pertaining to a motor vehicle accident. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Ardizzoni petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Department intends on providing a written response to Ms. Ardizzoni. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Ms. Ardizzoni with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Ardizzoni may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days.
