Murray Supervisor of Records March 4, 2021 SPR21/0473 Officer Caron L Porter City of Holyoke Police Department 138 Appleton Street Holyoke, MA 01040-5706 Dear Officer Porter: I have received the petition of Greta Jochem appealing the nonresponse of the Holyoke Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Jochem requested records pertaining to the Holyoke Police Department Professional Standards Division Complaint Log. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Jochem petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. The Holyoke Police Department’s response In a February 24, 2021 petition, a representative from the Department requested the Supervisor of Records grant the Department an extension of time to respond to this request. See SPR21/0517 Supervisor of Records Determination (March 3, 2021). On March 3rd, I granted the Department an extension of 30 business days to furnish copies of records responsive to Ms. Jochem’s request. Conclusion Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide a response in accordance with the determination in SPR21/0517, the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations. Ms. Jochem may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
