The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 11, 2021 SPR21/0488; SPR21/0489 Mr. Greg Lucey Malden City Clerk's Office 110 Pleasant Street, First Floor Malden, MA 02148 Dear Greg Lucey: I have received the petitions of Bruce Friedman appealing the nonresponse of the City of Malden (City) to his requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Friedman requested records pertaining to email service payments and public records requests made to the City. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Friedman petitioned this office and these appeals were opened as a result. Despite being notified of these appeals and communication from a staff member of the Public Records Division, it remains unclear whether the City has provided a response. As such, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Freidman with a written response. Said response shall be made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Freidman may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
