Freitas appealing the nonresponse of City of Lawrence (City) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Attorney Freitas submitted a request for records relating to a certain police database. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Attorney Freitas petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing a written response to Attorney Freitas. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Attorney Freitas with a response made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order as within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
