Murray Supervisor of Records March 24, 2021 SPR21/0590 Seah Levy City of Cambridge Office of the City Solicitor 795 Massachusetts Avenue, Room #320 Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Ms. Levy: I have received the petition of Dwayne Cruthird appealing the nonresponse of the City of Cambridge (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 23, 2021, Mr. Cruthird requested the following records: [1] All police reports issued and written by a named police officer, against a named individual…including the officer’s name and badge number, plus any disposition findings in court in conjunction with such reports; [2] The policy on stopping and/or pulling over a motor vehicle. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Cruthird petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/0590, was opened as a result. It is my understanding no response has been provided. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Cruthird with a response to this request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law, and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Cruthird may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days.
