Murray Supervisor of Records March 26, 2021 SPR21/0604; SPR21/0609-SPR21/0614 Kate Silvia Records Access Officer Department of Correction 50 Maple Street Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Silvia: I have received the petitions of Eric Boodman of STAT, appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 23, 2021, Mr. Boodman submitted seven public records requests seeking various records related to the Department’s medical parole filings. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Boodman petitioned this office and these appeals were opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Department intends on providing a written response to Mr. Boodman. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Boodman with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Boodman may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days.
