The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 22, 2021 SPR21/0639 Jennifer M. Staples, Esq. Massachusetts State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Staples: I have received the petition of Michael Damiano appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Damiano requested records relating to identified criminal matters. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Damiano petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Damiano’s request with a response sent on March 19, 2021. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Damiano may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
