The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 31, 2021 SPR21/0659 Judith A. Evans, Ed. D. Records Access Officer Winchester Public Schools 40 Samoset road, Winchester, MA 01890 Dear Dr. Evans: I have received the petition of Joe Ronayne appealing the response of the Winchester Public Schools (School) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, §10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 4, 2021, Mr. Ronayne requested, “…all emails to or from [named person] or anyone that works for her Teachers’ Workshop in the past 2 years.” Previous appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR21/0521 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (March 12, 2021). The School responded on March 15, 2021. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Ronayne appealed and SPR21/0659 was opened as result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a School representative, it is my understanding that the School intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Ronayne. Accordingly, the School is ordered to provide Mr. Ronayne with a response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Ronayne may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
