G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 20, 2020, Ms. Stevenson requested the following records: • “Records of all school arrests from the past 5 years (middle school and high school) [including] any situation that included an interaction between a police officer and a student on the school premise--regardless if that interaction led to arrest. • A complete breakdown of the police budget and spending [including] any additional earnings police officers make on top of their base salary. • Internal Affairs Record for all complaints against police officers from Easthampton from the past 5 years regardless of the results of these complaints.” Prior determination The requested records were the subject of a prior determination. See SPR21/0060 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (January 15, 2021); SPR21/0227 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (February 16, 2021). On March 18, 2021, Ms. Stevenson by her attorney, Howard Friedman of Law Offices of Howard Friedman, PC, modified the request. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a Department representative, it is my understanding that the Department intends on providing a subsequent response to Attorney Friedman. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Attorney Friedman with a response to the modified request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days.
