The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 23, 2021 SPR20/0675 Alycia DeAngelis, Esq. Cannabis Control Commission Union Station, Second Floor 2 Washington Square Worcester, MA 01604 Dear Attorney DeAngelis: I have received the petition of Patrick Hanley appealing the nonresponse of the Cannabis Control Commission (Commission) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Hanley requested several categories of records within the possession of the Commission including “copies of the application (including all attachments), investigative materials, interviews, ownership structure and any other materials that may be contained in the files associated with: (1) EE202279; (2) EE202273; (3) Economic Empowerment Applicant One Hundred Percent Pure-Boston; and (4) Economic Empowerment Applicant Blue Enterprises HSMA, LLC.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Hanley petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the request for an appeal, I learned that the Commission responded to Mr. Hanley’s request with a response sent on March 19, 2021. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Commission’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hanley may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
