The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 9, 2021 SPR21/0770 Jane Mosher-Canty, Esq. Alternate Record Access Officer City of Lowell 66A Baker Street Lowell, MA 01852 Dear Attorney Mosher-Canty: I have received the petition of Marion King appealing the nonresponse of the Lowell Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 31, 2021, Ms. King requested, “Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Letter of Finding for [identified] complaint.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. King petitioned this office and SPR21/0770 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the School provided Ms. King a response to her request. Whereas the basis of the appeal was opened as a result of the School’s lack of response to Ms. King’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. King may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
