Kathleen Smith: I have received the petition of Ms. Marion King appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Weymouth Public Schools (Town) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. King submitted a request for the “Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Letter of Finding for complaint PRS 3771, issued 8/11/2020, redacted of any confidential information” within the possession of the Town. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. King petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated April 5, 2021. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
