The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 7, 2021 SPR21/0867 John J. Wilson, Jr., Esq. City Clerk City of Methuen 41 Pleasant Street Methuen, MA 01844 Dear Attorney Wilson, Jr.: I have received the petition of Anthony Barry appealing the nonresponse of the City of Methuen (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 15, 2021, Mr. Barry requested “[a]ny and all documents, including but not limited to arrest reports…” related to two named individuals. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Barry petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided Mr. Barry with a response to his request dated April 7, 2021. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s lack of response to Mr. Barry’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Barry may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
