The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 16, 2021 SPR21/0869 Susan M. Galvin, Town Clerk Records Access Officer 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186 Dear Ms. Galvin: I have received the petition of Peter Culhane appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Milton Office of the Town Clerk (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 5, 2021, Mr. Culhane provided a supplemental request seeking “…all unredacted final and draft minutes of [designated] Executive Sessions … held by the Town’s Select Board…” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Culhane petitioned this office and SPR21/0869 was opened as a result. Based on a conversation between a Public Records Division staff member and a Town representative, it is my understanding the Town intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Culhane. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Culhane with a response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. Mr. Culhane may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Peter Culhane Kevin S.
