Assistant General Counsel Executive Office of Health & Human Services One Ashburton Place, Room 1109 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Scanlan: I have received the petition of Matthew Rocheleau of the Boston Globe appealing the response of the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 3, 2020, Mr. Rocheleau requested “documents for pandemic-related goods/commodities and services that [a list of] vendors provided [in 2020].” Claiming to have received “only a portion of the responsive records,” Mr. Rocheleau appealed and this case was opened as a result. In a letter to this office and Mr. Rocheleau on April 13, 2021, EOHHS enclosed additional documents and indicated that it “continues to gather records and will issue a further and final production to Mr. Rocheleau on or before April 21, 2021.” Mr. Rocheleau responded that he “agree[s] with HHS that [he is] fine if the current appeal case is closed given this response and that the rest of the records will be provided on April 21.” Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
