The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 26, 2021 SPR21/0918 Ashley E. Melnik City Clerk Revere City Hall 281 Broadway Revere, MA 02151 Dear Ms. Melnik: I have received the petition of Patrick Bryant appealing the response of the City of Revere (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Bryant requested “all documents pertaining to allegations against current Chief . . . when he was a lieutenant that resulted in a settlement with the complainant.” The records requested included “all notes, emails, reports, interviews regarding the allegations, discussion of the allegations, the investigation of the allegations, and the settlement of the allegations.” The City provided a response on March 30, 2021. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Bryant petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/0918, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City responded to Mr. Bryant’s request with a further response sent on April 26, 2021. In light of this response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bryant may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s April 26th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
