Department of Developmental Services 500 Harrison Avenue Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Brown: I have received the petition of Wayne Willis appealing the responses of the Department of Developmental Services (Department) to requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, §10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 24, 2021, Mr. Willis requested various records dated from 11/1/2016 to 01/05/2021. On April 7, 2021, the Department responded. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Willis appealed and SPR21/0926 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff attorney of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Willis’ request with a subsequent response sent on April 20, 2021. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s April 7th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Willis may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s April 20th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
