The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 13, 2021 SPR21/0933 Jackie Cook Lowell Police Department 50 Arcand Drive Lowell, MA, 01852 Dear Ms. Cook: I have received the petition of Kathleen Turner appealing the nonresponse of the Lowell Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 24, 2021, Ms. Turner requested all documentation and police reports pertaining to a specific individual for December 18, 19 and 20, 2020. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Turner petitioned this office and SPR21/0933 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a supplemental response on April 13, 2021. Whereas the basis of the appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of response to Ms. Turner’s request, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Ms. Turner may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
