G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 25, 2021, Deeper Than Water requested “… all email communication originating from your department between state agencies from August 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020 regarding Bay State Correctional Facility.” Claiming to not have received a response, Deeper Than Water petitioned this office and SPR21/0967 was opened as a result. Conclusion Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether a response has been provided. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Deeper Than Water with a response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days.
