The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records April 30, 2021 SPR21/0999 Andrea Stone Public Records Coordinator Office of the City Clerk City of Springfield 36 Court Street Springfield, MA 01103 Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Hans Hysenaj appealing the nonresponse of the City of Springfield (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 2, 2021, Mr. Hysenaj requested various police records relating to a specified individual. Claiming to have received no response, Mr. Hysenaj petitioned this office and SPR21/0999 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that Mr. Hysenaj and the City have agreed to an extension of 15 business days to receive the requested records. In light of this communication, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hysenaj may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
