The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 12, 2021 SPR21/1115 Joseph R. Duquette, Esq. KP Law 101 Arch Street, 12th Floor Boston, MA 02110 Dear Attorney Duquette: I have received the petition of Rich Saltzberg of the Martha’s Vineyard Times appealing the response of the Tisbury Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § l0A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 2, 2020, Mr. Saltzberg requested “all internal investigation tapes, transcripts, diagrams, emails, reports, notes, minutes, photographs, footage, memos, letters, orders, logs, findings, and documentation of any kind pertaining to 2011 crimes and police activity at 194 West Spring Street.” The Department provided responses on February 11, 2021, and March 1, 2021, which included a fee estimate. Unsatisfied with the Department’s March 1st response, Mr. Saltzberg petitioned this office and SPR21/1115 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of the appeal, the Department provided a supplemental response to Mr. Saltzberg on May 12, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s previous responses, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Saltzberg may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, .' ,, , ·• · . ~ Rebecca S.
