Brenda Perez Brockton Police Department 7 Commercial Street Brockton, MA 02302 Dear Lt. Perez: I have received the petition of Paul Kernan appealing the nonresponse of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Kernan requested 911 calls for a certain incident. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Kernan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Kernan’s request with a response mailed on May 11, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Kernan may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
