G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 6, 2021, Ms. Conant requested “[t]wo RFP’s + Responses for Town Council position...” The Town provided a response on April 21, 2021, which included a fee estimate. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Ms. Conant petitioned this office, and SPR21/1188 was opened as a result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a Town representative, it is my understanding that the Town intends on providing a supplemental response to Ms. Conant. Accordingly, said response must be made in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. If issues remain unresolved, Ms. Conant may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
