The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 28, 2021 SPR21/1239 Seah Levy Records Access Officer City of Cambridge Law Department City Hall 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Ms. Levy: I have received the petition of Andrew Quemere appealing the response of the City of Cambridge (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Quemere requested “all records related to the recent attacks on cats, including police reports, necropsies, photographs, and any other records. . . .” The City provided a response on May 17, 2021, denying access to the responsive records pursuant to Exemption (f) of the Public Records Law. G. L. c. 4, § 7(26)(f). Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Quemere petitioned the Supervisor of Records, and this appeal was opened. It is my understanding that the City provided Mr. Quemere with a supplemental response on May 27, 2021. Conclusion Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Quemere may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s May 27th response within 90 calendar days. 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
