G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 7, 2021, Mr. Fitzgerald requested, “… all invoices and bills referenced in the January 24, 2021 email received from Everett Public Schools Superintendent … for legal Counsel [including] … the hourly rate charged by Counsel[,] number of hours that services were rendered[,] the dates when services were rendered [and] name of the Attorney or Attorneys who were involved in the initial review and consultation/conversations.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Fitzgerald petitioned this office and SPR21/1334 was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the School has provided a response. As such, the School is ordered to provide Mr. Fitzgerald with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
