G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bradley submitted a request for records including: “1. Trace (Trac-D301-V01.0 report writing); 2. Trace/arson & Explosives (Trae-D301-V02.0 Report writing); 3. Trace/arson & Explosives (Trae-D301-V03.0 Report writing); 4. Criminalistics (FB-Crim-Do24-v 3.0-3 Procedure for the determination of Human Alpha Amylace); 5. Criminalistics (Crim-9 procedure for the determination of Amylase 1.1); 6. Criminalistics (F.B.-Crim-Do41-V 3.0-6 The identification of saliva, urine and feces); 7. QAM's (Doo1-V.01.0 Quality Assurance Manual); 8. QAM's (D001-V.02.0 Quality assurance manual): 9. Crime scene services (Quality manual 4.0); 10. CCIU (CCIU-F037-V 01.0 Photographic instructions for buccal sample collection); 11. Forensic service group report writing policy.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Bradley petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the Department intends on providing written a response to Mr. Bradley. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Bradley with a response made in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response to this to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Bradley may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
