The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records June 17, 2021 SPR21/1428 Chief John C. Fisher Carlisle Police Department 41 Lowell Street Carlisle, MA 01741 Dear Chief Fisher: I have received the petition from Stefan Geller appealing the response of the Carlisle Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 20, 2021, Mr. Geller requested, “… documents related to the arrest of [an identified individual] … in April 2021, including any and all police reports, a list of charges, emails about the incident, and any videos pertaining to the case [and] [any] similar documents pertaining to any … previous arrests.” The Department responded on May 28, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Geller appealed and SPR21/1428 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided a response on June 9, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the of the Department’s May 28th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Geller may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s June 9th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
