Murray Supervisor of Records June 24, 2021 SPR21/1460 Vicki Oliveria Assistant to the Town Administrator Town of Fairhaven 40 Center Street Fairhaven, MA 02719 Dear Ms. Oliveria: I have received the petition of Jonathan Alves appealing the response of the Town of Fairhaven (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 4, 2021, Mr. Alves requested: “… all records or portions of records be that written or electronic, in regard to the town of Fairhaven’s expenditures as it pertains to retaining legal counsel, litigation, attorney costs or any other miscellaneous expenses in regards to the above from January 1st of the year 2015 until the present 4th day of January in the year 2021.” On June 9, 2021, the Town responded. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Alves petitioned this Office and SPR21/1460 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town responded to Mr. Alves’ request with a further response sent on June 22, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s June 9th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Alves may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s June 22nd response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
