Massachusetts Department of State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Staples: I have received the petition of Justice Ainooson appealing the non-response of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Ainooson requested communications related to a certain Brockton Police Department investigation. Having received no response, he petitioned our office. Subsequently, the Department provided a response on June 11, 2021. In light of this response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Ainooson may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
