Williams City of Boston 1 City Hall Square, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Attorney Merritt Schnipper appealing the nonresponse of the City of Boston (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Schnipper requested the “names of all [officers] of the Boston Police Department 1974-1975, including their unit or division assignment.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Attorney Schnipper petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City responded to Attorney Schnipper’s request with a response sent on June 14, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Schnipper may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
