The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records June 28, 2021 SPR21/1551 Stacy D. Book Records Access Officer Massachusetts Parole Board 12 Mercer Road Natick, MA 01760 Dear Ms. Book: I have received the petition of Margaret Alleyne appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Parole Board (Board) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 5, 2021, Ms. Alleyne requested “[t]he number of parolees that had their parole revoked and/or provisionally revoked…broken down by their race, from February 2018 through May 5, 2021.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Alleyne petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/1551, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Board provided a response dated June 14, 2021 to Ms. Alleyne’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Board’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Alleyne may appeal the substantive nature of the Board’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
