The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 6, 2021 SPR21/1629 Peter Dillon Superintendent Richmond School District 1831 State Road Richmond, MA 01254 Dear Superintendent Dillon: I have received the petition of Craig Swinson appealing the response of the Richmond School District (District) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 8, 2021, Mr. Swinson requested “copies of any and all contracts, emails, notes, and any other form of retained communication related to the hiring and work provided by [an identified individual].” The District provided a response on July 1, 2021. Unsatisfied with the District’s response, Mr. Swinson petitioned this office and SPR21/1629 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the District provided a supplemental response on July 6, 2021. Given that this appeal was opened based on the July 1st response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Swinson may appeal the substantive nature of the District’s July 6th response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Craig Swinson Kimberly Roche, Esq.
