G. L. c. 66, § 10(c); G. L. c. 66, § 10(d)(iv). As required by law, it is my understanding that the City furnished a copy of this petition to the requestor, Brian DeLacey. Id. In a letter dated June 21, 2021, Mr. DeLacey requsted various emails “…sent or received by Solicitor Fallon or any member of the legal department from 12/29/20 to 1/18/21.” In a letter dated July 7, 2021, Mr. DeLacey states, “[i]n response to the City of Malden’s Fee and Time Petition, I ask the City of Malden to withdraw my request #2021-0290 in recognition of the RAO’s invitation to submit a modified version.” Conclusion In light of the above, it is unnecessary to opine on the City’s petition for an extension of time to produce records and permission to charge for time spent segregating or redacting responsive records. Further, this office encourages Mr. DeLacey and the City to continue to communicate to facilitate providing records more efficiently and affordably. See G. L. c. 66, § 10(b)(vii).
