The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 20, 2021 SPR21/1660 Arielle Mullaney, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Executive Office of Public Safety and Security 1 Ashburton Place Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Mullaney: I have received the petition of Matthew Rocheleau of the Boston Globe appealing the response of Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 12, 2021, Mr. Rocheleau requested “[a]ny/all posting/vacancy announcement(s); any/all applicant flow data sheet(s) aka candidate/applicant scoresheet(s); and any/all request(s) for waiver” for certain job posting ID codes. On July 1, 2021, the Office responded. Unsatisfied with the Office’s response Mr. Rocheleau petitioned this office, and this appeal SPR21/1660 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office responded to Mr. Rocheleau with a further response sent on July 19, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s July 1st response. I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Rocheleau may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
