Staples Massachusetts State Police 470 Worcester Road Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Attorney Staples: I have received the petition of Mr. Daniel Crevier appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Crevier requested reports related to a firearm being discharged on RT 495 in Westborough on April 16, 2021 at 15:15. Having received no response, he petitioned this office. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Department provided a response on July 26, 2021. In light of this response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Crevier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within 90 days.
