G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 7, 2021, Mr. Wood requested “…emails correspondence between [named person] and anyone and in the Department of Local services. … The date range of emails should be between 6/1/2020-1/21/2021.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Wood petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as result. Subsequently, I learned that a representative from the City intends on providing a written response to Mr. Wood. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Wood with a response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Wood may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days.
