Galvin Town Clerk Town of Milton 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186 Dear Ms. Galvin: I have received the petition of Cindy Christiansen appealing the nonresponse of the Milton Town Clerk’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 27, 2021, Ms. Christiansen requested the following records: 1. Records of contracts for town counsel services between MHTL and the Town … 2. All Town of Milton requests for proposals for town counsel services 3. All submitted proposals in response to the Town of Milton's search for town counsel Services. Prior Appeal The requested records were the subject of a prior appeal. See SPR21/1190 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (May 26, 2021). In my May 26th determination I found that the Town failed to provide a response to Ms. Christiansen and ordered the Town to provide a response. On June 8, 2021, the Town provided a response. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Ms. Christiansen petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/1833, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff attorney of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town responded to Ms. Christiansen’s request with a further response sent on July 27, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s June 8th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Christiansen may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
