G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Wallack requested an “electronic log of internal affairs complaints/investigations against sworn officers of the Newton Police Department as far back as you maintain the log in your current computer system.” Having received no response, he petitioned our office. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Department provided a response on Monday, August 2nd. In light of this response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Wallack may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
