The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 10, 2021 SPR21/1945 Patrick Lee, Esq. General Counsel Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department 24 Long Pond Road Plymouth, MA 02360 Dear Attorney Lee: I have received the petition of Todd Wallack of WBUR appealing the nonresponse of the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 8, 2021, Mr. Wallack requested the “… log of internal affairs complaints/investigations against sworn officers of the … Department …” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Wallack petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/1945 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Wallack a response dated August 6, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wallack may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
