The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 3, 2021 SPR21/1954 David Jones Hingham Police Department 212 Central Street Hingham, MA 02043 Dear Mr. Jones: I have received the petition of Todd Wallack appealing the nonresponse of the Hingham Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Wallack requested records of sworn officers who were terminated for misconduct, agreed to resign or retire to resolve misconduct accusations, or resigned and retired with a pending internal investigation since January 1, 2010. Having received no response, he petitioned this office. Subsequently, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated August 3, 2021. Where this matter was opened based upon the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wallack may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
