Silvia Department of Correction - Legal Division 50 Maple Street Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Silvia: I have received the petition of Kevin Norris appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Norris requested a number of documents relating to COVID-19 guidelines and data about the Department’s population. Having received no response, Mr. Norris petitioned this office. Subsequently, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated August 3, 2021. Where this matter was opened based upon the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Norris may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
