The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 13, 2021 SPR21/1972 Chief Michael Goulding Town of Weston Police Department 180 Boston Post Road Bypass (Route 20) Weston, MA 02493 Dear Chief Goulding: I have received the petition of Mary E. Sikes appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Weston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Sikes requested “a copy of all complaints, internal and external, verbal and written against Weston Police in general, or against individual officers, or procedures received between July 22, 2019 and June 30, 2021.” Having received no response, she petitioned this office. Subsequently, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated August 13, 2021. Where this matter was opened based upon the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Sikes may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s August 13th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mary E.
