Congel Town Clerk Town of Wellfleet 300 Main Street Wellfleet, MA 02667 Dear Ms. Congel: I have received the petition of Jude Ahern appealing the response of the Town of Wellfleet (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 9, 2021, Ms. Ahern requested correspondence between identified indivuals “since January 1, 2021 related to shellfish, including placing shellfish grant topics on the Selectboard agenda, filing public hearing notices and committee procedures.” Ms. Ahern requested “all emails, texts, attached or reference documents, telephone notes and dates of telephone conversations.” The Town provided a response on July 19, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Ms. Ahern petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/1985, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Town provided a supplemental response on August 12, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was the July 19th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Ms. Ahern may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s August 12th response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
