The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 31, 2021 SPR21/2082 Kevin Freytag, Esq. Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, LLP Crown Colony Plaza 300 Crown Colony Drive, Suite 410 Quincy, MA 02169 Dear Attorney Freytag: I have received the petition of Marion King appealing the response of the Nashoba Regional School District (District) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 26, 2021, Ms. King stated: Regarding the Nashoba RSD PRS Letter of Finding 5017 dated 4/29/2021, please provide copies of all documents issued by or received by the district - correspondence, corrective action report, attachments - related to this letter of finding. I am seeking such documents dated 4/30/2021 through the present. The District provided a response on August 12, 2021, including a fee estimate. Objecting to the fees, Ms. King petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2082, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the District intends on providing a supplemental response to Ms. King. Accordingly, the District is ordered to provide Ms. King with a response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. King may appeal the substantive nature of the District’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
