The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 1, 2021 SPR21/2118 Ms. Kerri Striebel Pittsfield Police Department 39 Allen Street Pittsfield, MA 01201 Dear Ms. Striebel: I have received the petition of Eoin Higgins appealing the nonresponse of the Pittsfield Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Higgins requested “the opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records, specifically all emails and attachments, from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2020, from and to members of the Pittsfield Police Department concerning Amazing Ring.” Having received no response, he petitioned this office. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Department provided a response on September 1, 2021. In light of this response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Higgins may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
