Murray Supervisor of Records August 26, 2021 SPR21/2129 Valerie Connolly Records Access Officer Secretary of the Commonwealth Administrative Services Division One Ashburton Place, Room 1710 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Ms. Connolly: I have received the petition of Alex Neary appealing the response of the Administrative Services Division (Division) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 5, 2021, Mr. Neary requested: 1. Any and all communications, including but not limited to email communications and text messages, sent or received by identified Commission Member, regarding [] Hart Street or the so-called “Hart’s Content” application to create a local historic district in Brookline, MA, including those sent or received for this purpose by the commissioner using the identified email address; and 2. Any and all communications, including but not limited to email communications and text messages, sent or received by any Massachusetts Historical Commission staff person regarding [] Hart Street or the so-called “Hart’s Content” application to create a local historic district in Brookline, MA. The Division provided a response to Mr. Neary on August 17, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Division’s response, Mr. Neary petitioned this office and SPR21/2129 was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Division provided a supplemental response on August 23, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was the August 17th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Neary may appeal the substantive nature of the Division’s August 23rd response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
