The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 2, 2021 SPR21/2164 Michael Sacco, Esq. Chief Executive Officer Worcester Regional Retirement System 23 Midstate Drive, Suite 106 Auburn, MA 01501 Dear Mr. Sacco: I have received the petition of Robert Whalen appealing the response of the Worcester Regional Retirement System (System) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 19, 2021, Mr. Whalen requested, “[c]opies of the names and addresses, in any and all forms, of all members of the Worcester Regional Retirement Board, still living, who retired as employees of the Worcester Regional Public School system. This information may consist of, but not be limited to, hardcopy, electronic, or digital records.” On May 25, 2021, the System responded. Unsatisfied with the System’s response, Mr. Whalen petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2164, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the System responded to Mr. Whalen’s request with a further response sent on August 31, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the System’s May 25th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Whalen may appeal the substantive nature of the System’s August 31st response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
