The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 24, 2021 SPR21/2354 Chief Christopher Habekost Interim Police Chief Town of Tisbury Police Department 32 Water Street P.O. Box 426 Tisbury, MA 02568 Dear Chief Habekost: I have received the petition of Rich Saltzberg of The Martha’s Vineyard Times appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Tisbury Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 30, 2021, Mr. Saltzberg requested “copies of all 2010 evidence log entries for the Department.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Saltzberg petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2354, was opened as a result. It is my understanding a representative of the Department provided a response dated September 14, 2021 to Mr. Saltzberg’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Saltzberg may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Rich Saltzberg, The Martha’s Vineyard Times Joseph R. Duquette, Esq., K.P.
