The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 20, 2021 SPR21/2365 Kathleen Gardner Town of Scituate Office of the Town Clerk 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway Scituate, MA 02066 Dear Ms. Gardner: I have received the petition of Artie Grenier appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Scituate Office of the Town Clerk (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 27, 2021, Mr. Grenier requested the following: “[1] All written and/or electronic documents…regarding the case involving [named individual] that were created, prepared, shared, or provided to/from the Town by the American Arbitration Association in and around 2009; [2] All written and/or electronic documents…regarding the case involving [named individual] that were created, prepared, shared, or provided to/from the Town with regards to financial settlements.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Grenier petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2365, was opened as a result. It is my understanding a representative of the Town provided a response dated September 16, 2021 to Mr. Grenier’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Grenier may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
