The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records September 24, 2021 SPR21/2414 Officer Caron L. Porter Holyoke Police Department 138 Appleton Street Holyoke, MA 01040-5706 Dear Officer Porter: I have received the petition of Dusty Christensen of the Daily Hampshire Gazette appealing the nonresponse of the Holyoke Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 23, 2021, Mr. Christensen requested the following records: “[1] Recording of any calls made to Holyoke dispatchers on July 28 or 29, 2021, related to [named individual]; [2] Log of any calls made to Holyoke dispatchers on July 28 or 29, 2021, related to [named individual]; [3] Any internal complaint and/or investigation of [named individual]…after July 28, 2021.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Christensen petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2414, was opened as a result. It is my understanding a representative of the Department provided a response dated September 21, 2021 to Mr. Christensen’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Christensen may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
